About

WHO K.NEW

WHO K.NEW is built on a passion for serving others and technology. We are proud to offer virtual counseling to the greater Texas community. This allows us the ability to reach more people across the state at a time that is convenient for them. Telehealth allows even the busiest person access to therapy.

There are many reasons to choose telehealth services. It could be due to health reasons, location, or perhaps you are anxious about meeting someone in person. You can join from the comfort of your home.

Whatever your reason, this is your refuge for healing. I look forward to meeting you, virtually!

I understand therapy techniques are not one-size-fits-all. I operate from an eclectic approach, pulling techniques from different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Theory. I believe our life stories and experiences heavily influence our beliefs and actions. If you are struggling, feeling stuck, or need some assistance setting realistic and achievable goals, let's chat!

Meet Your Counselor

Kali New, LPC Associate

Supervised by Robert Mullen, LPC-S

Looking for a counselor can be an overwhelming task! There are many options to choose from. Welcome! I am glad you are here.

I have always been the type of person who enjoys hearing peoples' life stories and consider it an honor that they trust me with the information. Opening up to someone with this information can be a very vulnerable situation, so being a safe place for those who choose to share with me is a requirement. Everybody's story is unique.

In sessions, I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but will pull techniques from other therapies if it will have a better outcome for you.

A little about me. I enjoy running and see the value in getting your body moving. I have three high-energy dogs, so I am an avid dog-lover, but I have found one cat who has won me over. When I am not in a session, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and family. I truly believe spending time outside is beneficial for our mental health.

Experience

I received my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. For my practicum, I worked with college students at the University. For the last six years I have volunteered at a Christian camp for foster kids. It has been the highlight of my year ever since the first year I volunteered. This has allowed me to gain experience working with foster kids and grew my passion for helping people.
